The 2012 Winter Wheat Seedings report published by USDA's National Ag Statistics Service was released today. USDA estimates planted Winter Wheat acreage in California at 660,000 acres, down 10,000 acres from last year. Durum wheat plantings are estimated at 140,000 acres, an increase of 17% from 2011's estimate of 120,000 acres.
