USDA increases estimate for CA harvested wheat acreage in Acreage Report Posted on 6/28/2013
Per USDA's Acreage Report, released June 28, 2013, estimates of durum planted acreage were raised 11 percent. Both winter and durum harvested wheat acreage are estimated up approximately 6% from previous reports (340,000 acres for winter wheat and 90,000 acres for durum.) All U.S. wheat planted area for 2013 is estimated at 56.5 million acres, up 1 percent from 2012.
